Find your Swedish roots

Are you looking for your Swedish ancestors and would like to know more about them? In that case we can help you.

Genealogical research on demand

My name is Åke Carlsson and I am the owner of the genealogy company Gensvaret. I am a linguist, an ex-teacher and a passionate genealogist. Over the past years I have assisted a great number of people in Sweden and abroad in tracing their roots.

The company conducts genealogical research on demand. We have a wide experience of working with various Swedish original sources from the 17th century onwards.

Among other things we can trace your ancestors backwards in time:

2 generations (6 ancestors): 45 USD*)
3 generations (14 ancestors): 100 USD*)
4 generations (30 ancestors): 220 USD*)

*) Maximum cost. If it is not possible to find all ancestors, the price will be proportionally reduced.

A report of this kind consists of a genealogical table and a text document containing basic information about each person.  If you are interested in more details about your heritage we can conduct an extended family research.

The company also assists you in finding living relatives in Sweden. The hourly fee for this service is only 25 USD. We always offer three hours of research at the price of two.

In order to start a survey we need to know as much as possible about your ancestors who once left Sweden. Even if you only have a minimum of information, please do not hesitate to contact us. The initial search is always free.

Our services are tailored to your specific wishes. We can also help you translate different types of Swedish documents.

We use secure payment by PayPal.
